In4mation x Casio G-Shock DW-5600

Following up on the trade show season hype that brought attention to their electric blue joint, In4mation gets set to launch their second Casio G-Shock colorway of 2008, coming in a hot purple and blue combo appropriately titled “Purple Rain”. The DW-5600 is expected to drop in late November and will be a limited edition piece much like its predecessor.

Either way, Luda recognizes his popularity and threw him on his single “One More Drink” from his upcoming album Theater of The Mind.

Despite Jada’s impressive collection of verses and the respect that he commands amongst his peers he’s hardly mentioned as one of the best out. He looks to change all of that by riding with the house that Hov built over at Rocafella. With his new album on the way Kiss of Death (formerly Kiss My Ass) Jada intends to remind everyone from Biggie, Nas and Jay-z respect his punch line heavy style. Here, Kiss appeals to the clubs and the ladies on his radio friendly single “By My Side” featuring Ne-Yo.

M.I.A. x Blaqstarr - Way Down In The Hole

For an artist who is supposedly retired M.I.A. sure has been all over the place lately. Here, she hooks up with Baltimore’s own Blaqstarr to create her own version of Tom Wait’s eerie “Way Down In The Hole” which was also the theme song to HBO’s former show The Wire. Supposedly this video cost a grand total of ten dollars to make.

Consequence - Job Song

When Consequence released his long anticipated album Don’t Quit Your Day Job, it looked like it was going to unfortunately fly under Hip Hop fans collective radar. However, Cons positioned himself right in the 21st century and reached a whole new audience through the internet. His video blog of behind the scenes clips are updated almost daily which acquired him a bigger audience then he had when the album was released. Therefore, the LP got a longer shelf life and as a result more singles. Cons swears that “Job Song” is the last video to come from the album, so enjoy it while you can.

Just when you thought you finally got away from Weezy’s enjoyable yet omnipresent “A Millie” Corey Gunz reminds us that the beat is a breathing living organism that cannot be killed. Corey spits his verse from the “A Millie” track that was originally supposed to be on the album but was oddly left off. He decided to hook up with Tee Smif for a quick artistic rendition of the verse. And, by artistic I mean Corey rapping in front of a wall and then some steps.

Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak Album Cover

As more and more tracks from Kanye’s newest tortured opus 808s and Heartbreak are released, so is what his album cover will look like. Kanye takes a detour for the first time in his career and decides not to put the “Drop Out Bear” on the cover. The point is obviously that this is a much more serious album that deserves a artsier and serious album cover. The little crumpled heart on the minimal backdrop is the same that was used for Kanye’s Love Lockdown single with a color bar added on the side for good measure. Now you have a .jpg to add to the leaked songs that you have on your I-pod.

Kid Robot x Nooka Zub Watch

In what they title as a “koolabooration”, vinyl giant Kid Robot team up with New York watch makers Nooka on a rendition of their popular Zub model. The limited edition piece features a Zen-H style face alongside the trademark Kid Robot band graphic. With only 1000 numbered pieces available, they will go on sale the week of November 10th at Kid Robot’s online and flagship stores while Nooka channels will receive theirs a couple of weeks afterward.

Kanye West feat. Kid Cudi - Anyway

After a few leaked songs and some official singles, it is now clear that Kanye’s 808s and Heartbreak will have a running theme of lost love and relationships painted over a canvas of synthesized keyboard stabs and old school Hip Hop drums. The latest song to be found on the blogosphere “Anyway” follows this same formula minus the tragic heartbreak that can be found in some of Yeezy’s earlier released songs from the album. The unusually upbeat track finds Kanye half singing (yes auto tune is present and accounted for) half rapping about an insecure woman. Kid Cudi is along for the ride crooning on the chorus.
